My dearest dad, Charles McCann, passed away at the age of 73. He had been ill for a number of years
with various heart problems. In July 1992, he had another heart attack and the doctors warned us
that another heart attack would kill him, as his heart was so badly damaged.
It was a Thursday night. He said good night to mum and then me and made some usual grumble about the
mess in my bedroom! He went to bed and never awoke.
We found him in bed on the Friday morning. He looked so peaceful. Looking back it was such a
blessing the way that he died but at the time it was the most agonizing time I had ever been through
and my world had just crumbled. My dad was my world and meant everything to me.
Now fifteen years on, I'm a mum of three and married. I miss my dad still so much, but time has
healed like people said it would. Thank you dad for being you. I hope I'm still making you
proud, I'm sure I'm still annoying the hell out of you still !!! Rest in peace always.

At last Dad!
Well dad. I have finally got around to doing something permanently for you in your memory. This is all thanks to Ann Bairstow and Lynda who are our friends from way back who have shown me this lovely website. I'm going to do one for mum aswell. I hope you two are getting on up there!!! I still miss you dad and your grandchildren have been told what a great man you were. You'd be so proud of them. Rest in peace dad. Love you loads. Give a kiss to mum for me. xxxx

mac was one of the nicest people i ever knew was a very dear friend . mac loved his little cats even wrote a lovely book about one of them. you would be so proud mac now of tracey with three beautiful children. i was really sad when mac passed away as i had some good times with mac also his wife audrey.my thoughts are always with you tracey god bless xx

Mac was my best friends dad so i have loads of memorys of him .. I remember him picking us up from Thornton Grammar in his red cortina gees i have a good memory thats years ago, he used to take me and tracey to birks fold stables to ride horses well until tracey decided to get kicked by blaze her horse xx Mac owned his own shop and Traceys bedroom was above it so when the shop was empty and he went into the living room we would sneak down and raid the sweet jars heehee xx He was a lovely man who thought the world of his daughter Tracey and vice versa xx Well tracey your dad would be so proud of you now having got 3 children of your own and doing so well xx god Bless MAc xx Sweet Dreams
